So I am still not in maternity clothes yet I don't know if that is out of being stubborn or what. I tried a pair of maternity jeans on this week and they stretchy part that goes over your tummy didn't fit over mine. So I think I'm sticking to my anti maternity clothes policy for a few more weeks. When it comes to dresses I like to look for non maternity dresses I can wear all the time. I hate buying dresses that are maternity specific. I didn't realize when I was buying this dress it was an empire waist but once I got it on I really enjoyed the cut.
Mother's Day is right around the corner.... Sunday! I can't believe I will be celebrating my 3rd Mother's Day. I have done all types of Mother's Day thus far, our first Mother's Day we were flying home from Arizona with a 3 month old (not the most fun). The second Mother's Day we were in Vegas sans kids and this Mother's Day Jay is working and we will be relaxing at home. Since Jay works he decided to make me my "Mother's Day" dinner a week early. So this Mother's Day will be a bit more quiet, but that sounds perfect to me. I also took a little time to spoil myself at Columbia Center Mall in Tri-Cities.
Holy Smokes it has been in the 80's for the last week or so, it is unseasonably warm but I'll take it. So shorts and dresses have made their way out of the back of the closets. So the time has naturally come to talk about dresses and more specifically for me and for all you Mom's with little kids maxi dresses. I loved wearing shorter dresses before, but now that I am bending down constantly with a toddler that isn't an option. My shorter dresses are saved for date nights and maxi dresses are this Mom's jam.
I think the one thing that is going to be so hard for me during this pregnancy is not being able to wear rompers and jumpsuits. I am a jumpsuit kinda gal and maternity jumpsuits just AREN'T CUTE. They have just been my thing since day 1 when they became popular. So nonetheless when I saw this one at Anthropolgie I wanted it. But after wearing it for these photos I learned that this isn't going to stretch and isn't pregnancy friendly so sadly it got returned. But for all you non pregnant people I suggest trying a striped jumpsuit this season.
I'm here to talk real quick about spring and early summer jackets. I love a good spring and summer jacket. I mean the jean jacket is a staple in my closet but I have been seeing more patterns and print this season and wanted to go over a few of my favorites this year.
We are so excited to share with you the exciting news that we will be expecting a baby girl in September. This pregnancy announcement is filled with so much excitement and happiness, but also with trepidation. As I know the emotions that come with seeing pregnancy announcement on social media for those of you who are struggling to get pregnant. I will go more into that later so make sure you read the entire blog post, but let me tell you some of the details about this pregnancy.
So 2 weeks in the desert gave me plenty of backdrops for blog photos. So be ready for desert landscapes over the next few weeks. So with Easter coming up it is officially time to bust out my white jeans. I am a sucker for white jeans. I think they look so clean crisp and I wish we could wear them year round. So with that being said it is time to get a new pair of white jeans. I don't know if you remember me saying last year but I buy a new pair of white jeans every year and this year I got some cute ones with zippers.
Remember around Valentines Day how I said I was an ambassador for Columbia Center Mall? I never really dove into that much more but what you will be seeing is a few blog posts a year featuring things going on at Columbia Center Mall AND usually a giveaway. So I have another amazing opportunity for you guys this Easter. I know it seems really early to be talking about the Easter Bunny and Easter fashion but with Easter so early this year it really isn't. So with that being said I have a big blog post in store for you and another amazing giveaway valued at $150!
Well once again we are in the dreaded season where it is still winter but we are SO OVER the clothes. So instead of having another winter sweater outfit I figured I'd go over some athleisure staples in my closet. I am one of those girls who actually enjoys getting dressed everyday but there are some days when all I can do is just throw some leggings and a cute t-shirt on. So that post is dedicated to those days.
Ok I may be getting ahead of myself as the temperatures have been so freaking cold here! We have had a really mild winter and I think it's getting the last laugh by deciding to show us that winter is still here. The other morning when I woke up it was 15 degrees yeah nope! Well I'm ready to shed the sweaters and start wearing some lightweight spring jackets. I think that is my favorite part about spring all the spring jacket options. I saw this water repellent pink jacket at Zara a few weeks ago and I wanted it to come home with me.
