So I was browsing through another person blog and saw this thing where you take 10 photos throughout 1 day. I thought what a great idea, I think this blog post is more for me than other people. As it is a bit of a photo journal to document our day. We did this when Jay was off work so that he could take some photos as well as be in some. I thought this would be a great thing to encourage you mamas to do for Mother's Day. You don't need a fancy camera just grab your iPhone and start snapping. I know I am going to want to remember these chaotic and amazing times in our house. One day I am going to miss the days when my house was full of toys and little baby giggles and I am glad I stopped and took some photos of it.
Holy smokes I have been on a big book binge the last year. I thought when I first had Leo I'd never be able to read again but that clearly wasn't the case. Although I will say 80% of the books I "read" I actually don't read I listen to as audio books. I found that with Leo when we are playing outside or in the house I can listen to a book and still play with him. Plus it takes me an hour or longer to fall asleep at night so I listen to book then. Don't get my wrong I do love sitting down to read as well and I just bought a few new books for summer. This post is going through my favorite books over the past year.
We are so excited to share with you the exciting news that we will be expecting a baby girl in September. This pregnancy announcement is filled with so much excitement and happiness, but also with trepidation. As I know the emotions that come with seeing pregnancy announcement on social media for those of you who are struggling to get pregnant. I will go more into that later so make sure you read the entire blog post, but let me tell you some of the details about this pregnancy.
One of my most asked question is about photography on my site and instagram. So I'm here to answer some camera questions as well as let you know the photo apps that are a must for everyone.
It is amazing the transformation that comes to your living room when you spend a little time decorating your coffee table. We have a large fabric one so I only have to really decorate the decorative tray that sits in the center. But I am going to show you how I decorated my coffee table and also additional trays in the house and give you some ideas to freshen yours up. The best part about this post is that I didn't buy a single new item. I simply went around the house and gathered up things to create a more polished look.
Monday's are my jam, bachelor and chill! The last few Monday's I have gotten into a routine of having a little at home beauty or spa night. My husband often works at night or swing shifts so I kind of love that I still get nights at home alone to watch tv and do whatever girlie things I want. For some reason the last few weeks he's been gone every Monday. I think he does it on purpose cause he knows I will be watching the bachelor. Anyways here is my easy at home spa routine.
* Ok so this post is from last year, but I feel like more than ever I need to share these tips. My Hubby is an ER doctor and their hospital has been slammed with influenza this year. And I think I have seen every Mom on Facebook talk about the dreaded stomach flu. So I am going to share this post from last year. I added a few things about how to continue to avoid the winter sickness. I will also share what to do if you get sick on Wednesday. As I am working on updating that blog post as well. So here we go....
There are so many yucky bugs going around so I thought I'd do a two part series on colds and flus. The first post will be about preventing sickness in your house and the second post will be about what to do when the cold or stomach flu enters your house. Hopefully these will keep you guys healthy this winter. Well it is the middle of Jan and I bet there are already so many resolutions that haven't stuck. Heck I already messed up and didn''t buy organic tomatoes or strawberries at the store yesterday. So because I'm not an expert I often times don't feel like I am an advice expert. But I"m just trying to live my life the best way I know how. 2017 was a great year with a few bumps along the road. So one of my resolutions was spending more undivided time with my son in 2018. What I realized is I haven't been able to do that with perfection, hence why I haven't blogged about it. I realized first that before I pour more time crawling around on the floor playing "dinosaur" I need to spend a little time to reflect on myself and the direction I want 2018 to go. So here are a few new realizations I've made that have provided a change in my perspective.
I have been getting some questions about my Christmas decor so I decided to share a not so quick snapshot of our house. I went on a real Christmas decor binge this year and got ALOT of new stuff. I feel like I'm the Christmas decor expert right now as I think I have went to every store in town. I will share with you some of my favorite items as well as some places to go scope out if you are still looking for some new Christmas items.
Every year I do my Christmas round up. Here are my picks for men and women. I love shopping for presents and I try to come up with gifts that everyone will love. Obviously coming up with gift ideas for girls is easier for me than guys (why are guy gifts so hard) but I found a few cool things this year for all those men in your lives.
