1. Measure and cut film
This might take the longest time. Measure the width and height of the window.... measure twice or three time! We kept about a 1/2'' margin of film on at least one side so you can cut the film edges to fit perfectly into the window. We used the L ruler to keep the lines straight.

2. Clean the windows
Clean the windows where the film is applied to.
3. Wet the windows
With your spray bottle of soap and water wet the windows. I was surprised how much water I needed. If the window becomes dry make sure it is wet before you apply the film.
Peel away corner of the liner first by attaching two pieces of tape firmly to the front and back side of film’s corner. Pull them apart to separate the little portion of liner and the film. Then spray the film with the soapy mixture.
When liner is removed from the film, both window and film should be fully wet with soapy water. Place the adhesive side of the film gently on the glass.. Once the film is applied on the window, move around the film for the right placement. If the film is stuck and not moving, you need to peel off the film a little and add more water spray on the window.
6. Squeegee the film
With the plastic squeegee move from the center out towards the edges to remove soapy water and air bubbles.
By pressing the edge of the film to the window frame with your squeegee as a guide, trim the film with knife.
8. Clean
Clean the film with soapy water. It may take a few days to dry and completely stick to the glass.
Yay ALL done!! I got the film online at www.buydecorativefilm.com. I am glad I did the film vs the frosted glass spray. I had friends who used the spray and it didn't turn out as good. The film is also easy to remove, so when we move one day the next person can simply peel them off.
Most of the stuff in hand me downs from my sister in law including the flooring and most of the toys. I'm lucky my sister in law saved most of the twins toys so we really lucked out getting a house full of toys and clothes. I am all about baby hand me downs. The only really added additions to the room was the fan backdrop that I used at my baby shower for a photowall. I loved it so much that I wanted to use it again in the nursery. I also got a large fox tote to hold toys and other items.
