I cherish my mornings more than ever since becoming a Mom, for a million reasons. For the moments I get to enjoy a cup of coffee and read a magazine before Leo wakes up or when I get to be sitting cross legged on the floor playing with our baby. Because of these moments I tend to stay in my Pj's longer than I used to.
I get warm super easy when I sleep, but when I was up 2-3 times a night the first 6 months nursing I couldn't sleep in my normal shorts and a tank. I wanted and needed to stay warm. Long sleeve flannel PJs and cotton ones were too hot, so I decided to give these satin ones a try. They have become my favorite. They are a little spendy so you should keep a watch out for them because they often go on sale. I also love the Target short sleeve and short PJ sets. These were also nice when I was nursing and are great for sleeping in the summer and early fall. I love that I can lounge around in the morning feeling a little more "put together" in pajama sets vs a old husky t-shirt and sweats. Like I said before I was never one that was into cute PJs, but now I'm officially an addict.
Leo wanted to show off his jammies too!
I also love sleep shirts! Victoria Secret has really cute and cozy ones, I found this one on sale at Nordstrom. I tend to wear these more in the spring and summer, but still wanted to show one of them off. As you can see in my photos I rarely get a chance to actually sit and enjoy my coffee and God forbid I get a moment to enjoy my coffee and read a magazine or watch the Today Show. More often in the morning I'm sitting indian style on the playroom floor reading books, playing with trucks, and trying to make sure my coffee is out of reach of a 1 year old!
Here are a few of my favorite PJs!!
I am so glad I also got a few pictures in our current house especially in the kitchen. My husband and I bought a new house this fall and have been remodeling it since November. We are hopeful to be moving in sometime in March and I can't wait to share with you some of the before and after shots. We are eager to get into our "forever house", but I'm not so eager about moving again. This will be our 5th move in the last 4 years and Leo's 3rd home in his first year of life, but we are excited to be in a home for a LONG LONG time! The one good thing about moving is that it forces you to get rid of unnecessary "stuff"!
Cheers,
Jess
