So I've been trying to update you all every 3 months on our current favorite things. Baby Leo is 9 months today, he is an eating, crawling, and sleeping machine. He is obsessed with his kitty and puppy and is really starting to get a little personality. He is starting to get really into "toys", which is nice to keep him entertained. I touched upon a few of his favorite toys as well as other essentials in past blog posts, but I talk about more of them today. There is nothing fancy about this blog post you can literally find most things at Target, but I just wanted to share with you what items we are currently loving.
1. Breathable Mesh Bumper
Breathable Mesh Bumper- Prevent legs and arms getting stuck by using this breathable mesh bumper. We tried to go bumper-less and after 3 days I overnighted this bumper. Leo was waking up a few times a night because his leg would get caught. This did the trick!
2. Walker Toy
2. V-Tech Walker Toy- Most people have these, if you don't they are awesome. It entertains Leo every morning while I make and eat breakfast. He is just starting to use it to pull himself up. But the last 2 months he'd just sit on the ground and play with all the buttons. We love it! It's one of our favorite toys!
3. Puffer Ball - My mom got this for my niece and nephew and little did we know this would be one of Leo's favorite toys. We have like 3 different versions of this ball. I don't know if this is "baby" friendly but I've pulled as hard as I could and I have't been able to get any of the pieces off. I found it at Fred Meyer, but you can get it at amazon.
4. Hippo Toy
4. Hippo Toy
4. Hippo Toy - I stash different toys in different parts of the house so he never gets bored of certain toys. This hippo toy lives in my bathroom. It will entertain Leo while I do my hair and makeup every morning. He really loves this toy especially since he is crawling he will crawl all around chasing the balls.
5. Bight Stars Lots of Links
5. Bright Stars Lots of Links- We can't get enough of these. Leo loves to play with them but what I like to use them for is to keep toys on the high chair. I attached these little rings to highchairs at restaurants and then attached the other end to his toy. This way he can't throw the toys onto the ground.
6. Phil and Ted's Poppy High Chair
6. Phil and Ted's High Chair- So I blogged about this before. I loved this then, but now Leo started feeding himself and I love the high chair even more. Kids make a mess when they eat, and the best part of this highchair is how easy it is to clean. After dinner every night I simply take the seat and top off and over to the sink and clean it under the faucet.
7. Chew Bead Necklace
7. Chew Beads- There are a bunch of different brands of these. I wore some recently while flying and thank goodness I did. Leo was all about the chew beads. We survived our flights thanks to this necklace, the ergo baby, and puffs!
8. Glass Bottles
8. Glass Bottles- Leo recently quit nursing (I say Leo cause he decided one day that nursing wasn't him jam) so we have started using WAY more bottles. I've been using glass bottles for awhile, but really fell in love with the Lollaland and Simba brands. We are mostly using all glass bottles now. I was worried about packing them all around and that they would break, but I've had great luck with both of these brands. I've dropped them a few times and nothing has happened. We are big big fans of the glass bottle, I suggest you try!
9. Trainer Sippy Cup
9.Nuby Cup 3 Stage Trainer Sippy Cup- Leo had a hard time figuring out the sippy cup. We went through about 4 different brands until someone recommended this one by Nuby. I love that there are 3 stages to it. The first nipple is very similar to a bottle so we used that for a few weeks then transitioned to the next top, now Leo is a sippy cup champion. You can find them at Target or Amazon.
10. North face Infant Thermo Ball Jacket
10. North Face Thermo Ball Jacket - My friend Sara suggested this coat when I told her I was looking for a winter coat for Leo. I wanted something that was warm but not too puffy that I had to take it off to put him in his car seat. We ended up getting the 18-24 month jacket cause Leo is a big boy. It is a little big in the arms but fits him pretty good. It should last him all through winter (fingers crossed). It is also reversible and is just an overall quality jacket. It is on the expensive side $100, but it's is worth it.
Hope you guys have a wonderful week!
Cheers,
Jess
