I'm an avocado girl, always have been always will be! I eat an avocado most days, but as I was researching some new breakfast ideas for summer I decided I should try an avocado out in a smoothie. I love smoothie's for breakfast in the summers. My house doesn't have air conditioning so a cold and icy drink is exactly what I crave in the mornings. I spent some time searching pinterest to find good avocado smoothie recipes, this one was my favorite of all the recipes I tried. I'll share with you my top two favorites as well as my other go to breakfast containing avocado.
Banana Raspberry Avocado Smoothie
Ingredients

Ingredients
- 1 handful of frozen raspberries
- ½ avocado
- 1/2 to 1 full frozen banana ( I chop mine up into little 2 inch sections before I freeze them)
- 1 handful of baby kale
- 2 spoonfuls of Honey Greek Yogurt
- 4-5 ice cubes
- a little water
- optional: if you want it sweeter you can add a little honey

Green Apple & Avocado Smoothie

*I put WAY too much kale in this the first time I made it. It was like eating a salad for breakfast. But I got it right the 2nd time.
Ingredients:
- 1 green apple
- 1 handful of baby kale
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 cup or so of coconut water
- 4 to 6 ice cubes

Avocado Toast with Eggs
Ingredients:
Toast the bread, mash the avocado, scramble the eggs... combine!
This is probably one of my favorite go to breakfast meals, especially before the gym. It is the perfect amount of food to allow me to have a great workout and not feel hungry again till lunch.
Hope you guys aren't too afraid to try avocado for breakfast. I promise you can't even taste it in the smoothies. The top smoothie I posted is my new obsession, I can tell you I'll be drinking it all summer long!
