I'm 29 so the past 3 years have been full of engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and weddings. I can give you a 1,000 ideas about gift ideas for any of those, but the past 6 months I've had a big influx of baby showers! I think I'm at that age of the famous phrase... first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby carriage. Most friends have registries, but sometimes there are limited items or you want to get them something a little special. I called upon my sister in law Julie (mama of 2 year old twins), my good friends Sara (mama of Everly almost 2) and Kari (mama of Lola 2 1/2) and asked them what was the item they used most in the first year. Leave it to these selfless mom's that consulted to only give baby ideas, they didn't suggest anything for themselves. But I loved the idea of getting new moms something special as well.
