This is a little bit of an untraditional post for me as far as fashion goes. I don't work anymore but over the years there has been many cases where I've needed a pair of black dress pants. I had been surviving on a pair I had from my old job back in 2011. Oh jeez 7 year old dress pants. Well I finally decided to buy a new pair. After trying on a million different ones (sorry UPS man) I finally found a pair. I also asked a few of my working friends to share their favorite dress pants so we could put together a good list for you all to try.... here they are!
So when a non working person like me needs to attend something where business attire is needed this is my go to outfit. NEW black dress pants, a black blouse, and a nice little jacket. I get hot super easily so I always wear a sleeveless blouse under my jackets. Thankfully blogging I can wear leggings and t-shirts, but it does fill nice to get dressed up every now and again. I ended up keeping pants I ordered from Express and the Gap. I was shocked I loved my Gap pants so much. I also looked for pants that had a touch of stretch in them and one that were straight leg and skinny leg. I just can't do the wide leg or boot cut for some reason although there are TONS of those pants out there. They definitely are not out of style when it comes to dress pants.
I also don't have very many blazers anymore so I simply throw on one of my jackets. Clearly avoid leather jackets, but I'm sure if you look through your closet you can find some business appropriate jackets.
Now let's talk pants again. I asked a few of my girl boss friends to give me their favorite dress pants together. So if you are a girl looking for some new dress pants I have some ideas for you!
