Here is another blog post where I have stolen something from my Mom's closet. I have been envying all the bucket bags I've seen on instagram and pinterest. My Mom came and visited me in Portland and I talked her into buying a bucket bag. We spent a good 30 minutes looking at all of the bags currently at Nordstrom. We were torn between this Rebecca Minkoff bag and a Vince Camuto bag. I personally loved the feel of the leather of the Minkoff and we decided to go with that one.

Let's talk about the bucket bag.... it is the bag of the season. If you open any fashion magazine or US Weekly you'll see celebrities toting one around town. The bucket bag has been around forever, first created in 1932 by Louis Vuitton it had a great run then and again in the 70's. And like most 70's trends.... they are back in full force today. I personally love this type of bag. I love how casual it is and the shape. The only downfall is there isn't a lot of pockets so you have to be ok with digging around to find your keys or favorite lip gloss. But that's just a sacrifice I'm willing to make to tote around this cute bag.
I scored a few other things at Nordstrom, including this light grey turtleneck sweater and these awesome shoes. As much as I love a good heel I needed an everyday low heeled black bootie. My Mom had bought these and raved about how comfortable they were so I decided to buy them too. They truly are heaven! As for the turtleneck I wasn't sure about that, but once I tried it on it was the coziest thing ever. And I ended up really liking the neck...... and mostly I'm all about the warmth!

The bucket bag trend isn't leaving us anytime soon. With Christmas coming up I know what I'll be asking for!
