I’m a sucker for a good cape, my husband teases me and says if it’s loose and flowy I’m going to buy it. This applies to most things in my closet, and cape coats and sweaters fit this description. I hate taking my coat on and off constantly while running errands, so for me a cape coat is where it is at. You get to feel warm and cozy, but your arms are free. They are a great piece to pair with jeans or black pants and boots to create a effortless look. Needless to say I’m obsessed! So with that I bring you three different capes that are all under $200. The first cape is only $38 at Nordstrom, what a steal!
*Often when I wear capes I feel like I am a flying squirrel so this was what I was channelling in all my pictures… or it is just the reason I’m using to explain why I look like I’m taking flight in every phot

Outfit Details: I love this sweater cape, it is an easy thing to throw on! Creates a put together look that is cute and most importantly comfortable. (Yes…. that is a red holiday Starbucks cup! I tried my first chestnut praline latte and I was underwhelmed and disappointed. It just can’t compare to my beloved gingerbread latte! )
Outfit Details: I got this coat about 2 years ago and it has been a staple in my closet. I love that it gathers around the waist and creates a slimming look!
Outfit Details: I bought this cape coat this fall and it has been a consistent wear. I love how loose it is and the versatility of wearing it open and closed. It is definitely my casual cape and has been great for running errands and daytime activities! I also LOVE it for travel, if you have seen me in the airport the past few month you probably have spotted me in this outfit!
