Jay and I recently snuck away to celebrate an early Valentine's Day shopping at Columbia Center Mall. Can you believe this year Columbia Center Mall is having their 50th Anniversary. Jay and I first headed to lunch at Twigs. Over a glass of champagne at 12:30pm (don't judge) and we started talking about one of our dates in high school at Columbia Center when they used to have a Coldstone Creamery. I remember it was one of the first real "dates" he took me on and I was so nervous as he had picked me up after school and I was in a rush to get ready after soccer practice. It is funny to look back and think those kids (us) would be back in the same place but instead of talking about ice cream and school dances we are enjoying a glass of champagne and talking about our sons 3rd birthday. Crazy how life turns out and I'm so thankful we have those fun memories of us from the past!
Talk about baby faces! So like I said we first headed to Twigs at Columbia Center for a fantastic lunch. Side note they made this Thai Chicken Soup that might of been the best soup I've ever had in my life. I literally drank the broth and I think Jay was embarrassed I was doing that at a restaurant but whatever! I love how big their bar is, it is the perfect place to grab dinner and drink with a group of friends or a date. Their dining room is perfect for a date night, especially Valentines Day. They will be taking reservations so make sure you call today to get yours cause Valentines Day is just around the corner!
Next we popped into Ben Bridge for a little window shopping. I haven't been into jewelry stores in awhile. I always say, "I"m not a big jewelry person" but the minute I stepped into the store I fell in love with 1/2 of the items in the cases. I even had fun trying on a oval engagement ring. I wanted to highlight a few of their Valentine's Day specials. They have a large selection of Pandora bracelets and charms. I've never really seen the Pandora jewelry I thought it was like all Disney and like kitty charms. I was OH SO WRONG. They had the most beautiful charms and charm bracelets. I also love their little floating lockets, where you could put different mini charms like your kids birthstones and other objects that represent your family. They were so pretty. I had a blast trying on different things and browsing all the charms. They are the only retailer of Pandora in our entire area so keep that in mind.
They also have a featured item for Valentines Day a bar necklace with a diamond for $159. It was sleek, modern, and cool. Check it out here but you can get it in stores at Ben Bridge.
I also wanted to show you this beautiful necklace I got from Pandora. I though this would be perfect with just jeans and a t-shirt. Like I said the Pandora stuff really impressed me!
I spent entirely way too much time there and could of spent more. Browsing at a jewelry store is really fun! Next I needed to grab a few other items that I've been meaning to get at the mall. First, I had to update my hand soaps from Bath and Body Works. And then we popped into Old Navy to get Monroe some new pajamas. I happened to find myself a new workout top. So win win for everyone. Leo even scored some new dinosaur socks for Valentines Day.
Here is me and sissy girl in our new Old Navy threads and the Ben Bridge bear we got. I hope you guys have something fun planned for Valentine's Day. Remember to get your reservations at Twigs and check out Ben Bridge Jewelers at Columbia Center for some cute Valentines Day gifts!
In other news Leo turned 3 yesterday. He had a great birthday, he had a dinosaur birthday at home. Although this weekend his birthday party is themed "Bugs". It is also supposed to take place during a snow storm so hopefully people will still attend. I once had a birthday party that was "snowed out" and only 1 friend showed up. Hopefully that isn't the case for Leo this weekend for his big 3rd "BUG BIRTHDAY"!!!!!
Cheers,
Jess
