Trade in your rompers it is jumpsuit season! Like last weeks post I talked about what to wear during the "in between" seasons. Just like a maxi dress a jumpsuit is the perfect solution. And nothing is more casual and comfortable than a chambray jumpsuit like this one. I could live in these things and I basically do. I own quite a few jumpsuits and I am so glad to see that they are still going strong and in style.
I wore this jumpsuit at the lake in Idaho. It is a pretty casual vibe there so I actually looked "overdressed" in this outfit. I also was asked when we were taking pictures if these pictures were going to be in a "magazine"! How sweet of people to think that my outfits would end up in a magazine and OH HOW WRONG they are. Anyways I paired this jumpsuit with some cute sandals, a scarf (more about that later) and my go to favorite bra (VS Braided Plunge Bralette)
I also added this little neck scarf. I kind of look like a flight attendant with it but I kind of love it at the same time. It is a great way to dress up something so simple like this jumpsuit. I didn't now how into this trend I would be so I found thislittle scarf for $12 at one of my go to online boutiques Vici.
As you can see this outfit is the perfect outfit for Mom's! Even Maxi dresses are a little harder to wear with a kid, especially a boy who wants to play in the dirt 24/7. So these days I opt more for a jumpsuit and save the maxi dresses for date nights out or afternoons running errands without my son. The other day my husband got home and I was wearing a dress, he was like wow you look so fancy why are you wearing a dress. I explained that I had gotten to leave the house without Leo and I wanted to dress in something I normally couldn't. So I may have been slightly overdress at my doctors appt and my trip to target but hey a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.
One last thing is I love little boys in overalls. I plan on dressing him in them for as long as I can.... cause I know there will be a day when he will only want to live in basketball shorts and a t-shirt.
