Just like last week when I blogged about sprucing up your Christmas dress attire, this is the same idea! Time to talk about sprucing up your NYE attire. I'll be 32 in a month and I think I retired all the sequins in my closet years ago. But nothing like the New Year approaching do those sequins look oh so tempting. So this is my take on how to wear sequins in a more conservative way.
As you can see I chose the midi length for this sequin dress. It am really into this length right now. It is like a functional long dress. It basically allows you to move around with ease. The next thing I did was get a really simple cut. I went with a classic slip dress which is super popular. I paired it with a blazer. You could easily dress this dress down with wearing a denim jacket. It is such a versatile dress... just need a reason to wear it.
Let's talk about dressing up your family for the holidays. Mostly let's talk about why every little boy should wear suits ALL CHRISTMAS LONG! My Grandma got Leo this suit and he has already worn it twice and I plan on him wearing it a few more times over the holidays. I can't wait to have him wear the little jacket with jeans, such a little man. And in true "Leo" fashion he is sporting his red converse with the suit cause it is all about being hip. Ok Grandma's out there.... this is a great gift to buy for your grandsons because Mom's won't buy it for their children but every little boy should really own a suit.
There really is nothing else to share about these outfits, but we got so many cute new photos I had to share them all! I love that we took time and did a more "formal" family photoshoot. We usually always are so casual but I just love seeing my little family all dressed up. Plus it was an excuse to wear my dress.
What being a parent is really like.... Jay having to wrestle Leo down to get him to sit still so I can tie his shoes. Never before would I have been ok with putting a dirty tennis shoe on my sequin dress, but once you become a Mom that all changes. Yesterday at lunch Leo ate an entire kids pizza after he was finished he was sticking his fingers in his mouth and got one too far back and started gaging. I immediately put my hands out to be there if he did puke. He didn't and I couldn't believe it was my instinct to stick my hands out to let him puke on them. Being a Mom is all pretty poses and family photos it is all about getting your sequin dress dirty and catching puke in your hands.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas. I am going to take a few weeks off to enjoy my family and the magic of Christmas. I can't wait to be back in January with fresh new ideas!
