Back at you with more quick healthy habits. Just this week and next week left so I hope you are finding a few to incorporate into your routine. I'm personally struggling with #1 this week. With the non stop pouring rain and the last month of pregnancy that is seeming to last forever I needed this weeks post as a reminder.
1.Be Positive
Optimism is a powerful force, looking at a situation with a good or bad attitude determines how the experience goes. I know we can all relate to having a bad attitude and it ruining our day. The same mind set can effect our health. If we believe we can be healthier, we can and we will be. There as been some experiments that have put this idea to the test. People unknowingly received fake placebo treatments for real health problems and came out reporting that they had improved just as much as those who got the real treatment. The placebo effect is all about a positive believe system. So being positive not only makes your day great but it surely can improve your health.

2. Find Out What Your Bad At
This one is all about improvement. So pick something your bad at, that could be cooking, cleaning, yoga (that's mine I'm terrible at yoga), running, finding time for yourself...etc etc. You get the idea, pick something and try to improve on it. Challenging your body, brain, or your routine is a great way to improve upon yourself..... cause new challenges are always good for us!

3.Learn CPR
This one was inspired by taking a child infant CPR class recently. It was so empowering that I now have the tools to do something if I ever needed it. I rely so much on my husband but the fact of the matter is he won't be home all the time with the baby. So why be powerless and instead be powerful in a scary situation. Knowledge is power. A few hour class is surely worth your time when it comes to saving someones life!

4. Eat More Fish
Cold water fish are best for you, think salmon, tuna, trout, halibut, and mahi-mahi. They are excellent source of good protein, healthy fats, and vitamins. I have craved fish and seafood this pregnancy so I am sure to eat it twice a week. I can't wait to not be pregnant and eat it more often!

5. Accept Your OCD Side
A little OCD is a good thing when it comes to things like washing your hands. Bleaching the cutting board that you cut chicken on, wiping down the seats on an airplane with wet ones. My mom has alot of these OCD habits, she even takes a small towel to the movie theater so her hair doesn't touch the back of the seats. That's maybe a little much, but maintaining a germ free living quarters is good for your health and peace of mind. Oh and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't forget to wipe down the remotes, light switches, telephones, and heat and ac controls at a hotel..... cause you know they are just gross.
Hope you all are having a wonderful week!
Cheers,
jess
