I did a poll a few weeks ago on instagram about different trends to try one of them was the cropped jean. It was about a 80/20 split on people saying I should give them a go. After ordering a few pair I realized to truly get the "cropped" look I had to order petite jeans. I am 5'5" and all the regular cropped jeans just look like ankle cut on me... so that is a hack if you are 5'5" and below order petite. But I'm here to give them a go. I didn't buy any that were too expensive I kept it under $100 in case this trend goes out the window by next Spring. Oh and don't mind Monroe in all the photos she wouldn't let me put her down.... biggest mamas girl EVER!
As for the cropped jeans, this was my first time wearing so I haven't quite figured out how I feel about them. I was worried they would make my legs look even shorter but I don't think they do. You guys remember the capri jean thats as so popular when we were in high school.... those cut weird on my legs and just made me look short. These seem to cut at a more flattering length. I wore mules with the cropped jeans and a new stripped blouse. I have had the hardest time finding shirts for summer. I ended up picking this blue and white stripped blouse at J.Crew. Their stuff is a little bit pricey but if you buy it online they usually have a sale for 30%-40% off. I can't tell you the amount of clothes I have ordered this year to only send back. I even tried some new online boutiques and pretty much everything was a fail. I think I want tops that don't exist.
I picked up this white little moto jacket recently at Nordstrom. It is the perfect jacket for spring. I usually opt for more of a moto jacket vs a blazer. I feel like fashion right now is so casual so with this jacket all you need to do is throw on a little cami and you can really dress this up. It is for sure a piece I will wear often the next few years. I feel like the moto jacket never really goes out of style so it is a good piece to invest in (but this jacket was under $100)!
For those of you wondering about Monroe's outfit, I got her shirt at Zara, jacket is First Impressions, and bow is from etsy. I like getting my bows off of etsy and trying different small businesses out!

Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend planned. We have SUCH a busy weekend ahead of us which is a good thing. After last weekend of not really leaving the house with a sick baby I am getting a little antsy so we are ready to being social and get out again.
