There is no better place in the summer than time spent at the lake. Due to Jay's work schedule this year we are opting out of our week long Priest Lake trip. Saddened by this we decided we still needed some lake time this summer. So we popped up to Coeur d'Alene for a few nights to enjoy some lake time. Couer d'Alene is a little.... no wait a lot fancier than Hills Resort at Priest Lake. So I had to step up my game a little for my dinner outfit. Normally I dress so casual when at the lake, I mean isn't that the best part about it. But since we were at the resort I decided it might be fun to dress up a little. And by dressing up I mean distressed white jeans so that isn't very fancy. But for the lake and for Idaho it is:)
As you know it gets chilly in the mountains at night so I opted for white jeans and a long sleeve (ish) top. I had seen these shoulder cut out tops and had been wanting one. I almost bought that black, but after getting so many compliments on my bright blue dress I wore to the derby I decided to add some more of this blue into my closet.
Normally I live in white jeans all summer long, but due to the heat this year I have lived in shorts and dresses. I've actually struggled this year with what to wear at night now that my staple is out of the picture. So I was so excited it was cool enough in Idaho to be able to wear these at night. I love summer, but 90-100 degree heat without AC makes putting on jeans impossible and uncomfortable. But nonetheless it was fun to be able to wear these on this trip. We took a sunset stroll before dinner and were able to get a few fun photos.
