So I am still not in maternity clothes yet I don't know if that is out of being stubborn or what. I tried a pair of maternity jeans on this week and they stretchy part that goes over your tummy didn't fit over mine. So I think I'm sticking to my anti maternity clothes policy for a few more weeks. When it comes to dresses I like to look for non maternity dresses I can wear all the time. I hate buying dresses that are maternity specific. I didn't realize when I was buying this dress it was an empire waist but once I got it on I really enjoyed the cut.
Bump Update- I didn't think people really cared but I have got questions about how this pregnancy is going. Well it's going and we are over 1/2 way there. I am a lot smaller and have gained way less this go around. I thought you "popped" sooner with your second but that doesn't seem to be the case with this little girl. I think because I was so sick the first trimester and I have been exercising this pregnancy I haven't gotten as big, plus she is measuring more on average (once they moved my due date up) vs Leo who was always measuring 2-3 weeks ahead. Hence him being a 10 lb baby. . This picture was taken on Wednesday so I was a little over 22 weeks. In other news we have no name for the baby and need the next 18 weeks to figure one out, names are so hard!
Ok so you can see the higher cut of the waist here. I have been noticing that waist lines in dresses have beginning to climb higher and higher. Since the wrap dress is back in full force (I'll be posting about that style of dress soon) I think it is only natural to start bringing back some other cuts of dresses. As we have had our fair share over the last few years of shift and A line dresses. Don't get me wrong I don't think those cuts I'm sure they will ever go out of style but it is nice to see these cuts coming back into style. Let's just pray that the drop waist dresses stay away a little longer.
Do you guys like the purse Leo picked out for me? We were at Zara a few months ago and he saw this purse with the "no no bug" aka spider on it. He loved it and I thought it was cute enough to be a summer purse since it was only $29. Now that I have been using it I kind of love it!! I should let Leo pick more bags out for me as long as they are under $50.
So this is a great little spring and summer dress. The long sleeve allows you to wear it in the evenings when things cool down a little bit. Plus I'm a sucker for a good bell sleeve! And it is under $100 which is even more of a plus!!

I have a pretty mellow weekend we finally have some down time after 4 weekends of being jammed packed. We recently changed Leo's room over from a baby room to a big boy room. I was so worried about transferring him from a crib to a bed but it was no big deal. So this weekend I'm hoping to get that room totally back together as we need to move pictures and other art work etc. I am hoping in the next few weeks of blogging about it. I think it turned out pretty cute and boyish!
Cheers,
Jess
