I love pretty table settings. In my ideal world I would set the table fancy for every meal. But that would take a lot of work and table setting options. I wanted to give you a few ideas for how to decorate your table this thanksgiving. I was going to only write about fun napkin folds, but as I started taking photos the blog post took a turn for the better!
All Natural Table setting
This is my favorite table setting. I had just planned on tying the napkin with some ribbon, but last minute I grabbed a flower off of the flower arrangement and added it the top of the napkin. It looked perfect. This napkin fold is called the "leaf fold", but there is a billion different ways to fold napkins. Pinterest is the best to find great new ideas on ways to fold napkins.
The best part of this table setting in my opinion is the placemat. Instead of using typical a placemat I went with something that was a little more natural. I got some pieces of decorative moss at the craft stores and used that for a placemat. The moss comes in big sheets and you can cut them to your desired size. I love the way it looks on the wood table and it just creates a fall natural look.

fleur de lis Napkin
My second place setting is focused on the fleur de lis napkin fold! Because I used a printed napkin it really is the focal point of the whole place setting. Thankfully I was doing this blog post with my Mom and she was able to help me with the napkin folds, sometimes she has more patience than I do to make these perfect.
I love playing with all the different layers. I love putting together two different shapes and textures of chargers on top of each other. For example with this place setting I used a square moss placemat, round wooden charger, a square charger, and then a round plate. Mixing shapes and textures makes your table setting unique and more appealing to the eye.

Pretty Perfect BOw
This last place setting is simple. We tied the napkin in a bow and tied it with a larger bow. It's super girlie and I think it would be cute for a bridal shower or ladies lunch. It is probably the simplest of the napkin folds.
Hope these help inspire your thanksgiving or holiday tablescapes. Placemats and chargers can get spendy so after Christmas I always go and look at Pier 1 and other home stores. They ALWAYS go on sale and it is a great time to buy them. If you are looking to invest in a charger go with a silver or gold one. That way it can be used all 4 seasons, you can just change the placemat out depending on the time of year.
Cheers,
Jess
