Feeling fancy... more like feeling cabin fever! Holy snow, Jay has been driving my car to work (it has both car seats) so I have been at home pretty much since last Thursday. Don't even get me started on this past weekend and Leo's birthday party. I am doing a blog post on that since I put so much work into it and hardly any people were able to attend ( stupid snow). Anyways, that isn't what this post. Let's talk about this cute little outfit. This is a great "in between" season outfit for Feb-April.
When I put this on Jay was a bit confused. I think he has gotten too used to me in jeans and sweater or yoga pants and a sweatshirt. So when I came walking down in this he asked, "are we going to Vegas". I don't know why he thought this channeled Vegas but whatever. I really wanted to try and overall flared look. So instead of buying something expensive I found this little one online for $28. I also got this cute mock neck shirt for $15 HERE. I love trying a new style all for under $40! So if I only wear it a few times there is no sweat.
I added a belt to the outfit for a little pop. I need to add another hole to it but I didn't have time for the photos. We were trying to take pictures while the 2 kids were napping so we were in rush mode. I love this belt and it is a great alternative for the Gucci belt. I would love a Gucci belt but I rarely wear belts so I won't be putting down $500 on one. I get the same idea with his one but only $35! Bargain Shopping!
Lastly, I paired the entire outfit with a fun purse with color to add a little pop. So like I said this is a perfect outfit for a date night, girls night, and apparently Vegas (insert eye roll). It is an alternative to the LBD and plus it is ALOT warmer. I also can't wait to get a skirt overall for summer. I think they are so cute and I included one for $15 from Forever 21 below!
So that is that. and the moral of the story from this past week is I survived the 16.5 inches of snowfall we got while Jay worked 6 of 7 days. I have managed to entertain my toddler pretty well, I have made most all of our meals at home, I've worked out everyday, and I've keep that baby of mine chubby.... oh and I might of drank a few bottles of wine over the last 10 days. But cheers to warmer weather and the end of cabin fever!
