Look at me 2 blog posts in one week! Watch I won't get another one up until after Christmas. So this outfit is "extra holiday"! So extra that when we went to the grocery store and to go have a drink last night Jay said maybe you should take off the leather pants it's a Thursday! So I did swap them out for some madewell black jeans but I still love all that is happening in this outfit. The other thing that is amazing about this outfit is that it really is a bargain buy, the hat is from amazon for $9 and the scarf is $11 from amazon. Normally when I order a $9 hat it looks pretty sketchy but this one is really nice and is fleece lined with is perfect for winter (just make sure you order the adult size and not the kid size). So this blog post I'm rounding out some of my favorite festive pieces for the holidays.... and maybe you don't need to wear them all together like I did.
So if you don't want a$9 hat here are a few others that I am really loving. I love the vibrant red for the Christmas season. I was talking to some girls last night at book club and they said that they didn't look good in red.... but I think that most people look good in red. All you need to do is add a little bronzer to your skin and do a nice red lip and there you go! The next steal of this outfit is this scarf I got from amazon fashion for $11!
If the green scarf and the red hat is too much for you then try this look out a red scarf. That is the best part about wearing good neutrals if you can play around with all different kind of scarves to create your holiday look.
Lastly let's talk these leopard print booties. I saw this year that leopard was everywhere, but I didn't want to splurge on a pair of boots. Instead I found these online that were last seasons and therefore were 1/2 the price! They are Sam Edelman and I absolutely love them and the best part is if they are only popular one season then that's ok cause I didn't have a lot invested in them. It's all about smart shopping for your "extra" pieces. I am all for spending a little more on a quality pair of black pants or a grey sweater, but I won't be splurging on the newest trendy item. Hence the $9 hat, $12 scarf, and $88 booties! Merry Christmas to Me!
I hope your homes are all decorated and all of your Christmas traditions have begun. The thing I'm most excited for this Christmas is a "craft" advent calendar for Leo. I got this little wooden tree with drawers and on pieces of paper I wrote different Christmas crafts or activities we can do each day. He is going to LOVE IT!!

Jess
