SNOW SNOW SNOW!! Can you tell I'm excited about the snow. We have been getting a ton of snow this week, it has been so fun. The best part about the snow here is that it only sticks around for a week to 10 days then it is gone. So when the snow comes my snow boots come out. I love my big snow boots but I only really get a chance to wear them a few times a year. They are chucky, huge, yet so warm and comfortable. So I'm blogging about how you can sport your snow boots from day to night and a few ways to make them look not so bulky.
Before we tackle the snow boots I want to talk about my two favorite items this winter..... the wrap choker and sweatshirt tunics! Chokers are so popular right now but I love the added twist that the wrap choker gives. Especially when I'm wearing super casual things like this sweatshirt. I got this one from my favorite etsy store Bella Simple Jewerly. It's only $23, you can shop the necklace HERE! My second favorite item are tunic sweatshirts, basically it is sweatshirt material cut like a tunic sweater. It is amazing, I love the slimmer cut but still get all the warmth and comfort of a sweatshirt. This specific one is sold out but I included a few more in the link below.
I chose to wear the more slimming sweatshirt (vs a bulky sweater) and I also opted for some black skinny jeans. I try keeping things as sleek and slim looking as possible with bulky boots and a puffy jacket. I really love these high waisted black distressed jeans from Madewell. They are also on sale right now you can see the link below! Another trick in trying to keep this look less bulky is by NOT wearing a scarf. I love big scarves but they are big and bulky. When wearing a blanket scarf I usually pair them with regular boots or booties. I suggest trying a simple and light weight cashmere scarf if you want to wear a scarf to keep warm in this freezing cold weather. My favorite are from Nordstrom they are the tissue weight wool and cashmere ones. They literally come in every color. I wear them all seasons long, they really are worth every penny. You can shop them HERE! Now to pictures of me acting like a little kid and playing in the snow....
What would an outfit be without my "pops"! I added a pop of color with my Kylie Lip Kit wearing the color "Leo" again. I just love this lip color! And my other outfit "pops" were all the fur, as seen in the boots, hood, and hat! Sometimes outfit "pops" don't have to be color they can be a texture and this case I used the fur to give the outfit those "pops"!
