Time to break out that old jump rope of yours for a HIIT workout. Did you know that jump rope burns more calories than pretty much any other exercise equipment, 760 calories per hour. But let's be honest I am not jumping rope for an hour, that would be a great feat. For me jumping rope works great because it requires a little amount of time and you can do it in the comforts of your living room. I came up with this little 15 minute workout, you'll be surprised how great of a workout it is in such a short amount of time.
Getting a workout in is tough with a baby. Leo can entertained himself from anywhere from 15-30 mins so I had to come up with a workout that allowed me to get in a good sweat in, in a quick amount of time. I used to jump rope a lot when I took kick boxing classes and I decided to add that back into my workout routine. I love this workout cause I can add in different exercises. You can do all legs, arms, or makeup a routine like this one that is made up of full body exercises. You can repeat this for a longer workout or what I've been doing is adding an additional 5 mins and doing all abs during the extra 30 sec interval times. It is also a great travel workout, no weights needed and all you need to pack in your suitcase is your tennis shoes and a jump rope!
Cheers to getting back into shape!
