I have more fall fashion for you.... as you know I love capes! One other trend I'm loving is long sweaters/cardigans. I am trying not to buy a lot of maternity clothes so cardigans have been on my list of must haves for this fall and winter. Big bold prints are here to stay, but if you aren't a "bold" kind of person there are plenty of plain long cardigans that will work for you. The biggest thing when choosing a long cardigan is where it hits you on your body. I am not the tallest person so I have to be sure the sweater hits me right at the top of my calves to avoid it making me look shorter. For you taller girls, you are lucky and can pull off any length.
This outfit goes from day to night very easily. I always seem to say that so this week I decided to demonstrate how I'd wear this cardigan at night. You can easily add a cardigan to black pants, a shirt, and black pumps and boom.... outfit complete! I love this big bold print to off set all the black I am wearing. This sweater is pretty casual but wearing it with all black and pumps really transforms it from day to night. I paired it with a black clutch and because the print was so bold I kept it simple with just my diamond stud earrings. The final piece of the puzzle when turn ing this outfit from day to night was adding a bold orange/red lip!
I bought this sweater at the end of the summer so it isn't available anymore. But I picked out 6 of my current favorite long cardigans from Nordstrom. If you are too afraid of a bold print I included a few plain ones as well. Any of these will pair with jeans or black pants and you can easily wear them with booties or heels.
Shoes can really dress up the outfit and these shoes truly do. I was lucky enough to find these Jimmy Choo's at a consignment store. I have been so lucky with consignment stores finding some amazing items.... like these shoes! A hint for finding the best stores is hit up consignment stores in resort towns, that's where I seem to find the best stuff! For you who don't want to do the consignment route you can buy your own Jimmy Choo's below or opt for a similar cheaper style by Michael Kors.
Cheers from Hawaii,
