Our master bedroom is FINALLY finished! At least I think it is. After months and months of trying to create my makeup area as well as finding the perfect night stands I think I finally figured it out. With the help of some faux fur to make the room seem a little softer I'm really happy with how it all came together. Check it out!
Vanity
I had originally wanted to find a big antique mirror but after going to about 10 shops I realized it wasn't a possibility. So I found this great one on Wayfair. I also found this desk at Wayfair. I had this chair from a few years back from Pier 1 and then I added a fluffy rug I found on sale at Fred Meyer. I decorated the vanity with two prints from Lulu and Georgia. I can't get enough of the natural light for doing my makeup. I was worried about having my makeup area being the bedroom and not the bathroom but it really hasn't bothered me. Plus I feel like it is the only girlie space in my entire house and I have no plans to ever give it up.

NightStands
It took me forever to find night stands. I wanted something to off set the wood headboard. The nightstand proved to be the hardest thing in to find in the room. I ended up finding these nightstands that have almost a alligator skin texture to them. The gray color really went well with the accent wall and bedding.

A Little FAux Fur Goes A Long Way
So I love our bed frame. But it is more masculine then feminine. I love super girlie bedrooms but my hubby just can't get behind them. So I went for a bed that appeal to Jay more than me. In return I got to pick out all the bedding and hello faux fur. When my friend Ang was over this summer I asked her how to soften up the bed set. She suggested added a bench to the base of the bed. After lots of searching I found this fun faux fur one on Joss and Main. Then shortly after I found these faux fur pillows that really completed the bedroom. The fur just make the bedroom seem so much softer.

Lights
When we were remodeling our house we didn't do much to the master bedroom but paint and new carpet. The only thing I insisted on adding was these drop down lamps that went on either side of our bed. I loved the way the looked and how much room it freed up my nightstand.
Reading Area
I had this old chair but I really loved it. I added a cream/white blanket and this pillow we got from our wedding. Also don't miss Leo's little basket of toys. What is a room without Leo's toys!
Don't FOrget About The Dog
Somehow Arson scored the best view in the house.
THe FInal Product
I loved how it all turned out. I am normally one that LOVES COLOR but for our master I kept it very neutral. I also tried to keep a balance of masculine and feminine. Mostly I am just over the moon about how new girlie makeup area. It is one of my favorite places in my house. Thanks for letting me share this room with you!
Cheers,
Jess
