Holy Smokes it has been in the 80's for the last week or so, it is unseasonably warm but I'll take it. So shorts and dresses have made their way out of the back of the closets. So the time has naturally come to talk about dresses and more specifically for me and for all you Mom's with little kids maxi dresses. I loved wearing shorter dresses before, but now that I am bending down constantly with a toddler that isn't an option. My shorter dresses are saved for date nights and maxi dresses are this Mom's jam.
I picked this maxi up for Arizona and I am very specific about my maxi dresses this year as I am planning to wearing them through my entire pregnancy. I am one of those lucky girls who get to be VERY pregnant all summer long! So I wanted to make sure this dress would look good with a bump. Another thing I look for in a maxi dress (while being a mom and pregnant) are one's that I don't have to wear a strapless bra in. It is the little things and I hate strapless bras.
Let's talk about the circle bag trend. I am loving this trend but I decided to depart a little bit away from the popular wicker circle bag and opted for more of a tote. From dinosaur figurines to my lip glosses this tote is perfect for carrying everything. It also comes in white but that just seems impossible to keep clean. I picked this one up at Anthroplogie for $88. Below I included a few more options in the circle style. I think this is your MUST have bag of the season.

I got my specific dress at Vici you can check it out HERE for only $50.00.
One little tip for maxi dresses is I went on amazon and bought a short slip skirt to wear under my maxi dresses. I find that a lot of maxi dresses that have lighter weight fabric tend to be see through. SO wearing a little slip skirt does the trick. I picked mine up on amazon for $15 you can click HERE to see the one I got.

So we have yet another busy weekend in the works. But I am hoping one night we can stay home BBQ and enjoy this amazing weather outside on our deck. My husband actually has the entire weekend off so on top of our social plans I am hoping we can tackle a few more household projects. Hooray home ownership!!!
Cheers,
Jess
