Off the should tops are all the craze so I decided to take a stab at wearing one. I took these pictures then it was 100 degrees outside, so we opted for them inside. I also had planned on wearing different pants, but due to the weather shorts were a must. These are my favorite summer shorts though so it was a perfect time to share them with you as well.

I love the look of the off the shoulder top, is it functional with a baby or kids.... probably not. This top is a date night kind of top, not an everyday around the house type. You can't really lift your arms above your head cause when you do the top is no longer off the shoulders it turns into a on top of the shoulders shirt. Although when it was pulled down I didn't feel like I had to fuss with it, so it's the perfect top for sipping some rose on a date night.
Ok lets talk these shorts, I love the jean shorts look, but honestly with the Pacific Northwest summers being so hot especially in the Tri-Cities jean shorts are just not cool enough. I found these cute chambray shorts at Nordstrom, they are lightweight and comfortable. They also have a longer inseam cause long are the days of booty shorts for this mama!

I was really worried this shirt would make me look boxy, but I don't think it does. So show off those shoulders this summer and find yourself a off the shoulder top to sport!
