Blush and olive is my favorite color combo right now. I wanted to do a post all about it.... then I stumbled upon this Theory leather jacket at a consignment store and it kind of stole the show in this blog post. You can still see how I'm wearing this blush olive color combo and I can (humble brag) all about this killer jacket I found for under $50 that retails for WAY more than that!
Olive and blush don't seem like they would blend well together, but like nude, blush really goes well with most colors. I got into nudes big time this winter and this summer I started trying out a little more color. As I've been dyeing my hair lighter and lighter I have been more drawn to pastel colors, something you wouldn't of caught me in a year ago. I feel like since my pregnancy I've really started settling into my "this is 30 and I'm a mom" style. I love playing around and trying new colors and trends. Adding blush to my wardrobe is one of my favorite additions as well as the nude lip. I'm really into rocking a great super light pink/nude lip!
I love a good leather jacket! I have quite a few not as many as some of my other friends but when I saw this one at a consignment store in Sun Valley without hesitation I bought it. My husband said "why do you need ANOTHER leather jacket"! I explained that the price was too good to pass up and a girl can always use.....another glass of champagne, another pair of shoes, and another leather jacket! It was chilly outside this evening so I ended up pairing the moto jacket with this feminine color blush top and the look just worked to my surprise. I just love how the two play against each other, I would of never thought to pair leather with a pastel.
I'm wearing my favorite olive colored pants I bought this summer. I've blogged about them before and I was happy to see how they perfectly transitioned from summer to fall. They are a great weight for the weather starting to turn and I will be getting all my moneys worth out of them. This blush top I got on sale at Nordstroms I love the cut outs in the front and the back. It's another solid purchase and it's on sale for only $17.
This look is simple and casual (my go to), but is a nice departure from jeans and a t-shirt. I included below a few other jackets two being under $100. I have found most of mine at Zara and other places for a good price. However this consignment shop find is my favorite one to date!
