The in between season is almost here.... my least favorite time of the year. The weather isn't quite warm enough to wear summer clothes but not cold enough to wear all your new fall clothes. So what is a girl to do? Well this is when my maxi dresses come in handy! It has been too hot this summer to wear my favorite maxi dresses and so this is the perfect time to wear them.

How great is this little one the shoulder maxi. My mom picked it up for me in Europe earlier this summer. I love the one shoulder trend, this trend was super popular when I was in high school. I think 2 of my prom dresses were one shoulder and I thought they were so cutting edge and "cool"! So clearly I am excited that this trend is circling back again, between the off the shoulder, cold shoulder and the one shoulder trends it seems that baring your shoulders is the thing to do. I recently just picked up some new fall blouses and tops that are doing some fun shoulder baring as well.

I think maxi dresses look great on everyone. It even makes a girl like me who's only 5'5" look taller than I appear. With this look I dressed up the simple cotton maxi with a sparkly clutch, wedges, and pulled my hair back to look for formal. Maxi dresses can be dressed up and down no matter the occasion and they also look super cute when paired with a light jacket. So needless to say maxi dresses will be your friend during this in between season that is coming up!
