Ok I may be getting ahead of myself as the temperatures have been so freaking cold here! We have had a really mild winter and I think it's getting the last laugh by deciding to show us that winter is still here. The other morning when I woke up it was 15 degrees yeah nope! Well I'm ready to shed the sweaters and start wearing some lightweight spring jackets. I think that is my favorite part about spring all the spring jacket options. I saw this water repellent pink jacket at Zara a few weeks ago and I wanted it to come home with me.
What color says Spring like blush! I have been on a real pink kick. When I look back at my blog posts over the last few months this is my 3rd one wearing a pink number. I mean who am I? I am not a pink kinda girl but apparently I've been drawn to it lately. Anyways I love this blush color and the cut of this jacket. When it comes to a rain jacket I prefer them to be a little longer and hit mid thigh. You stay warmer and not as wet, I wish I would of known this trick back in college when I rocked a cream Helly Hansen rain jacket all 4 years of college at University Of Washington. Plus the longer length is more slimming. So when it comes to rain jackets and also winter jackets I tend to find one that runs a little longer.
I kept this outfit pretty plain and simple with a white tank, my favorite pair of high waisted Madewell jeans, grey booties and I added a fun super old scarf for some pattern and also to offset and soften the rubberlike texture of the coat. When wearing this type of coat I would go with something cotton nothing satin or silky as that would look like a lot of slick textures going on in one outfit. Anyways if you are looking for a spring rain jacket I highly suggest this one for $65!

I'm finally recovering from a fun weekend in Vegas. I literally took a 3 hour nap Monday AND Tuesday. I was so tired, I just can't do vegas like I used to in my 20s. I am working on a few blogs posts for next week so hopefully I will have something for you. I was in a rut not having anything good to talk about. So rather than write something that isn't worth reading I thought I'd just hang around and wait until something popped into my head!
Cheers,
Jess
