Oh my third trimester..... it makes getting dressed a little tricky. My go to is denim a tank and a kimono. I call this my "resort" wear look. From a resort like Sun Valley pictured here to our upcoming trip to an old little hole in the wall resort in Priest Lake Idaho this is my go to outfit. It is simple and makes you look more put together without trying.
Another go to for resort wear is a summery pattern. This summer I'm loving the palm leaf print, but I think when picking a kimono it is fun to go with a colorful pattern. Then wearing something more simple. I don't wear a lot of white normally but for some reason in this pregnancy I have been wearing a ton of white. I mean I get it dirty pretty much all the time but hey that's what bleach is for.
Next best perk of a kimono is it keeps you a bit hidden from the sun .I am really like limiting my sun exposure and that is just hard to do with a toddler. We are headed up to a lake in Idaho for a few days. I definitely pack this kimono. I am looking forward to this trip especially with Leo. I was talking with a friend yesterday and I was telling her how I am having a hard time thinking about giving up all my time with Leo. This age is seriously the VERY VERY best and I get sad to think that we won't have as much one on one time like we do now. I think that is why I'm looking forward to this trip so much is because I look at it as some of the last times we get with Leo. Does any other mom's feel like this. I think it is particularly weighing on me because Jay works so often and it is just Leo and I a lot from the time he was 3 weeks old. I'd never compare myself to a single mom by any means but most days it is just me and Leo and the bond we have formed is so strong. I just hope that doesn't change and more importantly that he doesn't feel left out.
So back to fashion, this actual kimono is sold out. But... I have good news below
Flying Tomato is the brand of this kimono. It is sold out but you can find this brand on amazon of all places for the best price. The kimono above is only $39 on Amazon. Shop that HERE
Shop Palm Leaf Looks
Here are a few kimono that would be great for fall! For fall I opted for a longer kimono!
I'll be away for a good week or so while we enjoy our family. The best part about our trip is we really don't even get internet service and there is no TV so we really just get to reconnect.
Cheers,
Jess
