I frequent Restoration Hardware's website weekly. I am completely in love with pretty much the entire store. When I came across these shelves I had to have them. When I went to check out is when I noticed the size I wanted was coming in at $300 for just one! So I took to the internet and found that I could do a similar look at home for a fraction of the price.
So this is the finished product. Once I got stared and found how easy it is to make stuff out of piping I went ahead and added the towel rack.
Home Depot does have a decent selection of piping but didn't have the size I wanted so I just went to local pluming store, where there was a huge selection. I told one of the employees what I was trying to do and he helped me get everything I needed.
I got one of those huge planks of wood from home depot and had them cut it to size right there. I then grabbed some stain and went to work (which I learned how to do from a Home Depot employee as well).
Overall I paid under $50 for all the materials ( I had enough for 3 shelves). So easy and so much cheaper than Restoration Hardware!
Cheers,
Ang
