I think the one thing that is going to be so hard for me during this pregnancy is not being able to wear rompers and jumpsuits. I am a jumpsuit kinda gal and maternity jumpsuits just AREN'T CUTE. They have just been my thing since day 1 when they became popular. So nonetheless when I saw this one at Anthropolgie I wanted it. But after wearing it for these photos I learned that this isn't going to stretch and isn't pregnancy friendly so sadly it got returned. But for all you non pregnant people I suggest trying a striped jumpsuit this season.
Let's break it down, I love the wide leg and the peplum top. The peplum top helps hide your tummy or in my case the "bloat" that was happening here in these photos. The peplum hit up fairly high, which made the illusion that my legs were much longer than they actually are. All the striped jumpsuits I included at the bottom I made sure had silhouettes that made your legs look longer. I love the wide leg look but you have to be careful with the way they are cut, you need to opt for something high waisted or a jumpsuit with a high peplum or belt to create the length.
Next let's break down the accessories. This clutch/crossbody bag is perfect for spring and summer. The wicker or straw looking bags are so popular this season along with embellishments. So why not marry the two with this bag. The size is larger than a usual clutch but I tend to pack everything so I don't mind have a bigger bag. Next are these fun drop earrings. With this outfit and bag I think less is more when it comes to jewelry so based on my jewelry style I went with these earrings and a watch.
Lastly this white jacket. I bought it expecting to bring it home for my husband and Mom's opinion secretly hoping they would say to take it back. But everyone loved it and I loved it. I love the loose cut of it and it will look so great with a dress, jumpsuit, and jeans. The only challenge will be keeping it white, but the cropped sleeve I think will help with that.

This last week was insane and next week is shaping up to be that way. I was looking at our schedule for the coming weeks and realized we have something going on every weekend for the next 4 weekends. Holy smokes! This weekend will be a bit more mellow so I"m hoping I can get in a blog post for Monday or Wednesday as I have some great topics I want to share with you like must have summer reads. I have been on a crazy reading and audiobook binge lately and I am dying to share some of those recommendations with you.
Cheers,
Jess
