Hi guys.... quick blog post here. I will update you about our life soon. Miss Monroe is here, she is a dream child and we are so lucky. I haven't had as easy of a time as I ended up back in the hospital a few days after having her. I will share that big long story in my blog post introducing her. I just am not quite ready to share that story as it was a bit intense. Plus I'm waiting to take our newborn pictures however I'll share a picture of her below. Today I'm talking about fall decor. For some reason this fall I am really into muted tones. The reality is fall decor is actually up in your home longer than Christmas. I put my fall decor up before we had Monroe and it'll be up till after Thanksgiving. That is two solid months of fall decor. So instead of it being bring oranges and yellows I opted for some more muted colors. I am sharing a few of my pieces as well as some inspiration for fall.
We have a lot of blues in our house so I opted for some light blue and white pumpkins. I also mixed in some vases. I think I'd like to add some greenery for the mantel but that might be a next years project. I have some skulls that are cream that I will add in during the month of October but then down they go and the pumpkins stay till thanksgiving.
Breakfast Nook:
For our breakfast table I also kept things very neutral. I kind of just grabbed a bunch of things I already owned to create this. Only thing I bought new was the white little pumpkins. I clipped some of my dried hydrangeas and found an antler that I had to create this little centerpiece. I love the greenery with the white and this is a great centerpiece you can use all the way up to Thanksgiving.

Other fall decor ideas....
Love these painted pumpkins with the greenery. Some places to check out for this type of stuff is Home Goods, Pier 1, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, craftware house, target, walmart, and shopko. You'd be surprised at some of the things you discover at these stores. I know I'm looking for a fake greenery for our mantel, but with a newborn I don't think I'll be searching the stores this year.
So neutral and simple is my favorite way to decorate for fall. Check your local grocery stores for white pumpkins now. They get scooped up really quickly. You can also look at your craft stores and paint some fake ones white.
Meet Monroe Kay Loera! Born September 18th weighing in at 7 lbs 14 oz. Leo was 10 lbs at birth so she seemed like a little shrimp. She is such a good little girl and we are so lucky to have her! Leo is doing amazing he really hasn’t been phased by the whole thing.
Cheers,
Jess
