School is out or almost out and everyone is starting to think about their summer plans. Leo is starting soccer this summer and doing swim lessons. But on top of that I made a little summer bucket list for us. This one is more catered to toddlers and younger kids, but is a fun start to some summer activities. I want to make this summer as special as possible because it will be my last summer with just Leo. I have adored my 1 on 1 time with him for the last 2+ years and as excited as we are to add another to the family I am a little sad all my alone time with him will be coming to an end. So until September we will be working away on our summer bucket list!
For all the local Tri-Cities people here are some ideas for you.
Drive In Movie- About an hour away in Milton-Freewater is a drive in movie theatre. So pack up your kiddos and go. Check that out HERE
Baseball Game- We took Leo to a spring training game in Arizona this year and he keeps asking about going to a baseball game. So check out the Tri-City Dust Devils who's season starts June 20th. Also they do some firework nights so make sure you attend on one of those nights.
Parade- There are 2 parades I know about in the Tri-Cities. The Grand Old 4th of July parade in Pasco and the Benton Franklin County Fair Parade August 18th.
Feed Duck- Head on down to Columbia Park and feed the ducks. Just be careful they are a bit aggressive.
Mini Golf- Hit up Golf Universe for some mini golf
Go To A Fair- Our local fair is amazing but super busy so I have had the best luck going a little earlier in the day and earlier in the week. I'm a fair junky though and go most days. We took Leo last year to the demo derby and that was a blast. Another great fair check out is the Umatilla County Fair in Hermiston. The fair grounds are brand new and it is the perfect size.
Attend An Outdoor Concert- Live at 5 at John Dam Plaza goes on till the end of July. Check out their Facebook to see who is playing.
Pick Berries- Head out to Prosser to Bill's Berry Farm to pick some berries!
Don't forget about the Southridge Food Trucks every other Friday. Check out the link here but this might be my favorite summer activity especially since it's so close to us!
Hey there are a few more days to enter this amazing giveaway. A Seahawks jersey for the dad in your life or since it is a size medium it would work for middle school and high school kids as well or even you ladies and a $50 gift card to JCPenney. It is beyond simple to enter, just enter below. It will take you 30 seconds or less!
Hope you guys had a great weekend. We were able to stick around the house Sunday and get some items off of my to do list that had kept getting longer and longer. Although I was treated to a nice gift last night. Arson our dog knocked a glass jar of peanut butter onto the ground and it shattered into a million pieces so I got to spend an hour cleaning the floor and picking up glass all over the kitchen. Oh our animals!!!
Cheers,
Jess
