Summer Lounge Wear

Ok so lets start out this blog post with the obvious thing... congrats to Carey Price on winning every award he was up for at the NHL awards. I hope you were able to get on social media and see how gorgeous Angela looked and how dapper Carey looked in his tux. I'm really hoping she will do a full run down on both their outfits!

Back to "fashion friday" ....  In the summer I live in workout clothing. Its lightweight, comfortable, and great, but when I leave the house I have to go through the process of always changing or looking like I just left the gym when I didn't even go that day. I decided I wanted to find some lounge shorts I can put on in the morning and wear all day. An outfit that looks cute and stylish with little effort.

I actually ran into Kohl's to look for some new home items and came upon these shorts. I thought they were great and only $17. Win Win! Cute, lightweight, and way more stylish than my nike running shorts.

Not only is this outfit great for running summer errands, but summer is all about get togethers with family and friends. From birthday parties, to BBQ to a weekend away this outfit can cover it all.  I love that you can throw on this outfit in the morning and be good to go the rest of the day regardless of the activity.

You can wear these shorts with a simple cotton tank, I was running all around town and it was super hot so I paired the shorts with a flowy loose blouse.

Lastly, I paired this outfit my favorite Keds. I love these shoes when you have to do a bit of walking or you maybe are at a BBQ playing some yard games, the are comfortable (once you break them in) and I think they are cute. Anyways, It was nice to update my daily lounge wear from  my usual uniform of nike shorts and a tank top. I  feel more put together and cuter than I did before. I highly suggest grabbing a pair or two of shorts like this for this summer.
