Summer is here! Especially in Eastern Washington, Ive been home for two weeks and it has broken a 100 a few days in a row. Jay and I had a few days off so we headed up to Northern Idaho to get away from the heat and enjoy some lake and pool time! So now it is time to explore some summer fashion. I am that crazy person that would say summer clothes aren't my favorite. I don't know why, I've never been a big lover. I just don't think they look good on my body type, especially not shorts. So I try and stick to dresses, rompers, and white pants all summer.
One thing I do love about summer is the accessories! Especially hats! this is my current summer favorite, although it's been too hot here to even put on a hat. I think a hat can make a summer outfit transition from day to night. I love this panama hat I got from Nordstrom.
Jay and I popped over to West Seattle to take a few photos, this view is always one of my favorites in Seattle. We got so lucky with the weather, I wish I was out on the water with the kayakers! That looked amazing. I love wearing stripes all year long, I picked up this striped dress awhile ago but wanted to play around with it and see how it mixed with army green. I had seen it for fall when Ang wore something similar a striped top and a camo jacket for one of our shoots with Feathers + Arrows (seen here) so I wondered how I could work this same look in the summer. I went with a dress and a army green vest and paired it with a hat to get even more of the summer look. Being truthful here I hadn't had a pedi in awhile so sandals were out of the picture, I wore my favorite pair of frye booties with the outfit. I ended up loving how it all worked together, but with the summer heat I think I'd opt for sandals over booties.
