I was so excited when Deidra from 180 Consulting contacted me and asked if I was interested in doing a collaboration. That is one thing I love about being back in my hometown is that there are more opportunities for collaborations. Deidra and I met and decided to pick 1 item and see how each one of us would style it. We picked velvet pants, which is such a big trend right now. My Look:
True to my style, I am all about casual with pops! I continued that same look for this outfit. I paired the velvet pants with a berry colored sweater. And added the pop with my leopard print pumps. I got these a few years ago and I love how they dress up an outfit. I also love the mock neck on this sweater it makes it seem a little more formal. You could wear this outfit out to dinner or even to a more casual Christmas party.
I tend to like sweaters that are a little longer, you know the ones that'll cover the booty. I love these velvet pants, but I feel like they aren't very forgiving so peronsally I opted for something that was a little longer. This exact sweater is on sale for $32.00. Lastly I wanted to talk about my lip color..... my friend JoAnn turned me onto the Kylie Jenner Lip Kits. I am seriously obsessed. This stuff is legit. I'm wearing the color "Leo" it is a little bolder than I'd normally wear but once I had it on I realized how much I liked it. I felt like it really made my eyes pop! I hope do a post more about them and show you a few different colors. And now for Deidra's look.
Deidra's Look:
First off it was so fun to be behind the camera. My girlfriend let me borrow one of her lens and gave me some quick pointers. I look forward to shooting more in the future. It is definately a passion of mine.

Deidra opted for a more girlie style. I love doing collaborations with other people cause I love showing off other styles. Deidra's style is more girlie than mine, and I love the girlie twist she took on the velvet jeans. She opted for a winter floral off the shoulder top, choker, and blush color heels. I also love how she tucked in her shirt and wore it with a belt, it created a slimming look. Off the shoulder tops can get boxy so she counteracted that adding a belt and tucking the shirt in. Her choker was a nice finsh to the outfit.
How feminine are the sleeves on this top. I am digging the dark floral for winter, it is a fun departure from the usual sparkles and sequins during the holiday season. It is so great to see how florals now can be worn all seasons, not just in spring and summer.
