Welp this isn't your typical Nordstrom anniversary sale blog post today. I did add some wrap dresses currently on sale for the Nordstrom sale and I also added a few things I bought. I wasn't planning on doing too much shopping this year but I ended up finding more than I excepted to! But this blog post isn't about that, it is all about the wrap dress. I love the rise of the wrap dress this past few seasons, I can't believe the wrap dress was only invented in 1974 by Diane von Furstenberg. Diane knew what she was doing because this dress is so flattering and versatile. I think the wrap dress truly compliments most body types and works great with pregnancy. This dress isn't a maternity but as you can see you can wear this dress pregnant or not!
When we were in Sun Valley we pulled over on the side of the road literally on our way to dinner and snapped a few maternity photos. We are getting family photos taken in a few weeks but I will be very pregnant like 34 weeks so I wanted to get a few when I wasn't so giant. I had gotten this dress to wear to a wedding that we didn't end up attending but I loved it so much I decided to keep it.
I opted for the midi length but the wrap dress can be worn at any length. I just have one rule for myself personally when wearing a wrap dress I like the keep the top simple. Sometimes designers just try and do too much with the tops of wrap dresses (aka ruffles etc). I think it just adds too much. Also when doing a maxi wrap dress I like to get one with a little slit. From work to play wrap dresses are really functional.

Purchases For The Rest Of The Family
Hope you guys have a great weekend planned. It is going to be 105 here today.... that is just too hot to be outside even if you are in the water. So we will be staying inside doing some activities. I'm thinking of setting up our little farm today for Leo. It is looking like next week is going to be really hot too like in the 100s everyday. I guess Leo and I will just need to adjust to it....
