Yellow Brick Road

As a blonde I have never been one who would buy anything in yellow. When I came upon this dress this spring (I forgot I had taken blog pictures of this outfit I don't know if it would fit anymore). I ordered it and even when I tried it on I was unsure about the color with my blonde hair and skin color. I never thought blondes could really pull off yellow. Well I was pleasantly surprised that I really loved this dress and mostly the mustard yellow color. 

The first thing I think that made this dress work was the color of yellow. I think as a blonde you should opt more for a mustard color vs a bright yellow. I also think the darker blonde color I had going on in my hair helped. And the fact that I matched the Arizona desert! 

The embroidery was a nice little touch and I have seen so much embroidery and floral patterns in this color palette. So don't be afraid to look for something with a pattern. 

So here is where it gets fun! I put together a little bit of all my favorite yellow items and even included a few maternity items. I think I am mostly loving the swimsuits in yellow, but that won't be on my purchase list this year. I even included some pregnancy items as well.
