I've been kinda MIA, life in the summer is so busy. I keep thinking I'll have time to blog but it just hasn't happened. This blog post is basically a big hodge podge of things I've been loving for working out. The last 3 months I've really gotten back into working out. It all started in November when I joined a Beachbody accountability group and it started getting back into the swing of things. Then in January I started a program where I was working out 6 days and week and since they I've just continued with it. I think once you stick to something long enough it just becomes a habit and now getting my body moving and working out everyday is something I have come to look forward to. The only downside has been the constant annoyance of plantar fasciitis. So today I'm highlighting all my workout must haves and maybe it'll give you some motivation to get back to working out!
1.Track Workouts- A few years ago I used to do track workouts all the time, right before Leo was born in Portland I did an entire summer of kettle bell classes at a track. It literally was the hardest workouts of my life, running with kettle bells, stairs with kettle bells holy smokes. I have recently gotten back into them. Here is what I do they usually take me 40 minutes.
2 Beachbody- I have really fallen in love with my home workouts from beachbody. I had been doing a bunch of HIIT workouts like Shift Shop, Insanity Max 30, T-20. But I recently switched to something a little less impact and I'm doing the 80 day obsession and I am loving the change of pace coupled with the track workouts and swimming.
3.Protein Pancakes- I was in a rut with my shakes so I turned them into pancakes. Here is my recipe.
- 1 Scoop Protein Powder
- 1/4 Cup Oats
- 1 Egg
- 1 Spoonful of Siggis Yogurt
- 1/3 Banana
- Handful Blueberries
- Cinnamon
- Blend
- Pour Batter into Frying Pan Add Fresh Blueberries If You Want!
4.Food Prep Containers- This has been a game changer. I do a shake or eggs and turkey bacon most mornings then I use my containers to meal prep Monday so I have healthy lunches all week long. I got mine onamazon and they are awesome. Check out my post here all about what I am eating for lunch.
5.Fabletics- I recently started using fabletcis for my workout clothes. I love the price, quality, and fun colors. It is just something different than Lulus or Zella.

6. Apple Watch- I had always had a fitbit but switched to an apple watch 6 months ago. I constantly am battling Jay in steps and workout goals. I really like it for the exercise element and it is nice for texting too!
7. Nike Pegasus Shoes- This brings me to my plantar fasciitis. So I went to runners world in town and got fitted for the best shoes for me to wear. I switched to using the Nike Pegasus all the time. They have been so good for my high arches and foot. I am a firm believer that these shoes are LEGIT. The larger soles add extra cushion. I am now the proud owner of 3, 1 for inside, 1 for outside, and 1 as a backup.

8. Compression Sleeve- At the running store I also got set up with a compression sleeve for my foot issues. I wear the sleeve pretty much 24/7 when it is bothering me I wear it even at night. I also have found rolling my foot out on a frozen water bottle has provided a lot of relief and stretching.
9. Exercise Bands- Between using them for my beachbody videos or just using them on my own. These are a great find for only $15 on amazon.

10. Rouge Box- I got a box a few years ago. I love this for at home workouts. There is a million things you can do with a box and it is a nice staple to have at home.
So there you go 10 of my favorite workout items! Hope you guys have had a good and busy summer and been able to sneak in a few workouts as well!
Cheers,
Jess
