So occasional via instagram, facebook, and email I get questions regarding my personal life. I am always happy to share little glimpse into my personal life but I hate boring people with the details. I feel like people come here to read about fashion, food, healthy living, and kid stuff. Not really to hear what I'm up to. But I still kept getting questions about my personal life so I thought I would share a few little tidbits with you.
This blog post I'm channeling my inner farmer. I showed up wearing this and my nephew said, "Aunt Jessa what are you wearing? You look funny." It is crazy how perceptive little kids are, he is only 4 and already knew that he didn't like this "style". Well despite kids not liking this outfit I was really digging these overalls. Plus they are so comfortable I totally forgot about the comfort level of them.
I have been seeing these sock booties all over and decided it was finally time to get a pair. Once again I didn't want to spend too much on them so I was able to find them at ASOS. They are sleek, cool, and surprisingly very comfortable. The only problem with them is I am not one that has trendy NYFW kind of style. So finding a "cool" outfit to wear with them was a bit of a stretch. I settled upon this faux skirt with an oversized sweater. I loved how it looked but my legs were quite cold so I can't wait to wear these sock booties with some leggings.
Have you guys been seeing all the pearls for fall? I was a little apprehensive since I think pearls are super girlie and I don't categorized myself as a girlie girl. But when I saw these jeans at Zara with a touch of pearls I had to get them. Nothing says a little date night outfit like jeans with embellishments.
We recently took a trip to Sandpoint Idaho. If you have read my blog you have probably gathered my LOVE for Idaho. I think it is the most underrated state... anyways we were headed out on a vacation and I was looking for a bag I can throw everything in. And by everything I mean, diapers, Leo's cars, my big camera, sunglasses, pretty much the kitchen sink. As I searched my closet I knew the exact bag to grab... my Gabby Box Luci Design 101 triangle bag.
Gosh I can't resist a moto jacket....and how great is this blush colored one! I picked this up at Zara earlier this summer with the intent that no matter the season I was going to wear this jacket. I am SO NOT A PINK kind of girl, but I can get behind this shade of pink. I know I treat blush as a neutral in my closet and I'm here to tell you why.
I have been digging all the structured blouses for fall. I do love the crisp white tops and how they look, but they just aren't a possibility for me with a kiddo. Plus the fact that I spill on EVERYTHING! I carry around a tide to go pen in my purse and I pretty much use it everyday. Anyways, I have been dying to try this trend and found this great blouse at Zara for under $50. I love the lines of it and the fun shoulder play that is happening.
Wrap and drape tops have made their way into my closet for fall 2017. I saw them last year and was on the fence about them. Now that I've gotten more comfortable with the tucked in top I decided to try the wrap/drape top. And the verdict is that I really like them. What I love most about this top is the drape look but mostly the sleeves. I am loving all these fun sleeves for fall. Is it just me or am I like every girl who gets so excited about EVERYTHING fall including moving from shorts and tanks to jeans and long sleeve shirts.
Trade in your rompers it is jumpsuit season! Like last weeks post I talked about what to wear during the "in between" seasons. Just like a maxi dress a jumpsuit is the perfect solution. And nothing is more casual and comfortable than a chambray jumpsuit like this one. I could live in these things and I basically do. I own quite a few jumpsuits and I am so glad to see that they are still going strong and in style.
The in between season is almost here.... my least favorite time of the year. The weather isn't quite warm enough to wear summer clothes but not cold enough to wear all your new fall clothes. So what is a girl to do? Well this is when my maxi dresses come in handy! It has been too hot this summer to wear my favorite maxi dresses and so this is the perfect time to wear them.
