Ok maybe this isn't my LAST outfit of summer, but I feel like summer is winding down. It is crazy that we only have a few more weeks left before school starts. I always remember our county fair which is the last week full of August being the signal for the end of summer. I know by then I'm already wearing jeans in the evenings. I swear people say life goes by so much faster when you have kids and I TOTALLY think that is true. I feel like the last 1.5 years have FLOWN by and I am trying to grasp on to every little moment cause I know I will be sitting here in a few years missing these crazy days when I feel like I can't get a step ahead. Anyways, enough about that. As the summer ends it is the BEST TIME to grab summer stuff. I know these shorts I'm wearing in this blog post are on sale so snag them for next year!
Oh wait more rompers...... I get made fun of for the amount of rompers I wear. But I know what I love and with this hot weather I love them even more. Basically it feels like I'm wearing light weight pajamas. Another thing that is so great about rompers is that all you have to do is add some cute jewelry a clutch and some shoes and your outfit is complete. It is an effortless and comfortable look. I picked this cute romper up at my favorite local Tri-Cities store Concept. Talk about customer service the minute you walk into their store they help you put together the cutest outfits.
Hi I'm back! I enjoyed some time off at the lake. I posted some instagram and fb photos and got quite a few comments about all my "Mom" swimsuits. So I wanted to share with you a few that I love. While I still rock a two piece 50% of the time my one piece collection has grown since having my son. One reason I wear more one pieces is because somedays I feel more comfortable in a one piece and another reason is that in the last 3 years the one pieces have become very popular. I was in Vegas recently and I was shocked to see how many girls (with rocking bods) were at the pool parties wearing cute sheer and strappy one pieces. So the moral of the story is one pieces are trendy, cute, and not just for Moms. But this Mom will happily wear one!
Back at you with more rompers. I think I am addicted to new types of rompers, I love trying different styles and seeing how they work out. I was talking to some of my tall friends and they said they can't find any rompers that fit them. Do all of you tall girls have this problem? If so I'd love to hear what rompers work for you so I can recommend them. This 5'5'" girl has no problems with them being too short.
It's that time of year! The Anniversary Sale at Nordstrom! If you are a card holder you can access the sale now and the rest of you will be able to access it in a few days! Here are my favorite picks from this years sale.
I happened to be shopping and saw this kimono hanging on the rack at Concept at the columbia center mall. I had been dying to try the long kimono look. I had been planning to wear this with a romper but we were in Walla Walla for the weekend and the weather had other plans for me. So I adapted as we often do in fashion and came up with this simple outfit. I think when in doubt about a new trend you go very simple! So that's what I'm here to talk about.
After living the last 3 years in Portland my options for clothing was ample. Thankfully the first 6 months Leo was born we were in the city and Leo was styling. But when we moved back to Tri-Cities we were stumped on where to get more trendy kids clothing. Until stumbling upon a cute little kids boutique at the Columbia Center Mall in Tri-Cities called Concept. I was shocked at the brands they carried and their selection. Needless to say Leo is styling again thanks to Concept.
Summer nights call for my favorite kind of fashion. I love all the outfits you can wear on cooler summer nights, like white jeans and all sorts of blouses, especially off the shoulder tops. This is my ideal summer outfit. My Mom brought back this top for me after she was on vacation. I loved everything about it. The embroidery, cut, sleeves, and the off the shoulder look.
When the weather gets warm all I want is a margarita. It is my favorite summer drink. This week I was dying for a margarita and wanted something a little different. I have rosemary in my garden and I was wondering if I could do something with that. I viewed some rosemary margaritas recipes on pinterest but they all had grapefruit and I didn't have any at home. My eyes stumbled upon the watermelon I had just bought sitting on my kitchen counter and the idea came together. More about this little cocktail creation and what I'll be wearing for Memorial Day weekend!
White floral maxi is a bit out of my comfort zone, but when I saw this one online I thought I'd give it a try. I was afraid I'd look like a boho bride or something wearing all white. But that certainly wasn't the case. This dress needed the perfect backdrop and what a better backdrop than a blooming apple orchard. Read more about my views on floral prints and other patterns......
